  THE ROAD TO FALLUJAH

The Road to Fallujah follows the story of director Mark Manning, who lived with the people of Fallujah, Iraq, immediately following the November 2004 battle that destroyed their holy city.  The film gives a voice to the people directly involved on both sides of the war and takes an in-depth and humanizing look at the issues in Iraq, uncovering avenues to peace from the horrors of war.

A joint production between American and Iraqi filmmakers, The Road to Fallujah includes interviews with Iraqi civilians and refugees, resistance fighters, members of the American Military and Congress, media analysts and Islamic scholars.  The film offers guidance for peaceful solutions to war, and includes interviews with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Arun Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, and Thich Nhat Hanh.

The events surrounding the battle of Fallujah are a microcosm of America’s policy decisions in Iraq; as one American Military Commander said, “As went Fallujah, so went Iraq.”  With unparalleled access to the reality on the ground, The Road to Fallujah provides a human perspective on U.S. foreign policy in Iraq, offering a new direction towards solutions to the current crisis and a guide for future foreign policy decisions.

(in post-production)

American Voices documents one American’s struggle to come to terms with a preemptive war on Iraq and his responsibilities as an uninformed Unites States citizen in a post-9/11 world.

Covering a span of 2 years and 10,000 miles, American Voices travels the Unites States documenting Americans’views on their country, its role in the world, and the justifications for and arguments against the war on terror and Iraq.

From the voices of Americans themselves, the film provides solutions and inspires Americans to put into action theideals of their Constitution.  Without alienating or blaming, American Voices guides its audience to question themselves, and in turn their leaders, and to take a deep look at their individual responsibilities as citizens of the world.
