Caught in the Crossfire

While the American media was reporting that the Iraq war was a great success and that most Iraqis were celebrating the United States invasion, Caught in the Crossfire offered a different perspective. Filmmakers Mark Manning and Rana Al Aiouby teamed up to shoot a short film on the plight of Iraq civilians in Fallujah. Heralded as a courageous act of patriotism by some and an anti-American act by others, this controversial and poignant film gives an uncensored and unfiltered platform for Iraqi voices at the height of the conflict.

Caught in the Crossfire is a joint venture between Iraqi and American filmmakers, and won awards in scores of film festivals and was broadcast in major media markets worldwide.
